THE SITE

Two large concrete covers were made, shaped to recall an open book, to protect the archaeological site and the museum layout; they provide an evocative direct visual contact with the outside world while descending to the level of the remains. The view of the site from above allows an initial glimpse; then, as we move gradually closer, the details of the enchanting interplay of light and shadow reveal themselves.
