In the first half of the 3rd millennium BCE the area was used for a new purpose, with the construction of megalithic funerary monuments and platforms which complemented or modified the existing formations of poles and steles. Among the different types of tomb constructions, which sometimes used the previous steles, altering their meaning, the dolmen stands out; this consists of imposing stones anchored in the ground supporting a large horizontal slab. Moreover, there were sometimes individual graves and at other times multiple, either involving simple burial or cremation, with grave goods frequently found. The majestic dolmenic monument, named TOMB 2 at the time of its discovery, stands proudly at the centre of the area on a large triangular platform and was used from the middle of the 3rd millennium to the early centuries of the 2nd millennium BCE for collective burials along with grave goods and offerings. In the southern area of the site other ancient tombs can be seen, including the one known as TOMB 4, consisting of a majestic stone circle with a central grave, which contained an individual burial: this architectural style, attributable to the Late Bronze Age (late 2nd millenium BCE), shows it to be the most recent at the burial site.
