The Gallery and the Hall are the parts of the castle which arouse the most interest and curiosity today, and were at one time reserved for public functions. Created at the behest of Umberto I at the end of the 1890s, but only completed in 1904, after his death, they are an extraordinary homage to the King’s passion for hunting transformed into decorative art. How can one not be amazed in the presence of the original adornments in this room, created with hunting trophies: a choice in tune with the tastes of the period and which renders this room unique with its use of 3612 horns, separate or in pairs, from 1019 ibex and 787 chamois.
