The interior of the castle is seen as it would have appeared during the 19th century. The recent restoration and renovation works carried out in its spaces brought to light the extremely lively painted decorations adorning the walls, doors and fireguards of the reception rooms. Pieces with many different cultural references exist in the same rooms: from Gothic Revival to Chinoiserie, from mythological and naturalistic themes to Egyptian Revival. This original decorative project was carried out in the 1840s by Vittorio Cacherano della Rocca, son of Countess Thérèse de Challant.
