Giovanni Chiapasco, who led the restoration of the Sant’Orso Priory in Aosta in 1915, also worked at Introd for Alberto Gonella.
Here he produced pictorial decorations inspired by the chapel of the Priory of Sant’Orso (the Annunciation above the entrance gallery); the Castle of Fénis (the lozenge motif on the walls and San Giorgio inside a niche on the east side) and the Castle of Issogne (the vaults of the portico and the inscription, reminiscent of the Garde-Robe de la Tapisserie). The trees arranged under small arches on the walls of the Baronial Hall are instead inspired by the late 14th-century rooms of Palazzo Davanzati in Florence.
